About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist serving Colorado and Virginia.

My style of therapy is integrative, using techniques that are firmly rooted in research while also tailoring the approach to meet your needs. I view the overall process of therapy from a psychodynamic base, meaning that I believe in exploring the past as a way of better understanding patterns in one’s life, and thus, becoming empowered to make changes in current functioning. It also means that I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship; positive growth and change can only happen when there is trust and support between therapist and client. I frequently check-in with my clients in order to maintain a collaborative relationship and to make adjustments as needed, whether that is to the therapeutic relationship itself or to the techniques being used to promote change. I also employ routine outcome measures as a way to provide a quantitative assessment of one’s goals. I believe in transparency about the results of these measures so that, as a team, we can make decisions about the course of therapy.
