Individual Therapy

It is a myth that people only go to therapy for severe mental health issues. Taking care of your mental health is important. Many people who would consider themselves to be happy and well-adjusted also go to therapy and use it as a space to further understand themselves or work on new goals. No matter how big or small the issues in your life seem, therapy sessions can provide a safe space to explore them further, get support, and feel empowered to make changes.

Often times, people might seek therapy due to issues with relationships in their life. Whether it is related to family, friends, or romantic partners, relationships play in important role and it can be beneficial to gain some insight and clarity on them. Adjusting to life transitions is another thing that brings people to therapy. Life changes, even potentially exciting ones, like a marriage or a promotion, can still come with a degree of uncertainty and feelings of being unsettled.

The concerns mentioned above are some of the reasons that people come to therapy, but it is certainly not an exhaustive list.
